Traditional Hand made In Frame Kitchen
by Maxine @ Farnham Furnishers A traditional handmade kitchen, hand painted in Amonite on the outer units and Green Blue on the Island with natural brass handles from Armac Martin, that will age over time. The walk in pantry next to the Aga is designed to maximise storage space with plenty of shelving, handmade bespoke baskets to keep vegetables in. The worksurface is in stone for using as extra work space, and keeping cheeses at room temperature. The Microwave is discreet, for those moments when you cant wait for the Aga. The chunky bespoke chopping board adds interest to the Island as well as being practical. The wood is beech end grain as used by chefs for its hygienic properties and the end grain structure is for longevity when you cut on the surface. The dresser, glazed unit, links the dining room into the kitchen and houses all the formal dining crockery as well as a special drawer for the formal cutlery box. The worktop is Misty Carerra. Adding the round breakfast bar allowed for more seating, so as not to intrude on the walk through traffic area. This is a big open plan space that hosts lots of casual and formal entertaining, with summer lunches and dinners, opening up into the garden view. |
